Cliff T. Whitfied, Jr.

Digital Projects Manager. Historian. Scholar

Cliff Whitfield is the Digital Projects Manager at the Levine Museum of the New South in Charlotte, North Carolina. A native of Graham, North Carolina, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Guilford College and his master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is currently working on attaining his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Whitfield is a trained public historian specializing in creating and managing digital history projects. His research interests are United States history, particularly African American History, Southern US history, and Reconstruction. His most recent work at the Levine has explored the history of Charlotte, North Carolina, and its growth into a global, New South city.
